Download Downgrade_2020CE_to_EFLC.zip (1.2 Gb) package, unpack it on desktop or anywhere else, run the exe (Administrator privileges are not required to apply downpatch or to unpack official Rockstar EFLC Patch), read instructions.

How to downgrade GTA IV Complete Edition to EFLC
So you've got latest GTA IV Complete Edition on Steam/Rockstar Launcher or Fitgirl repack and you want to turn it into original binary-identical EFLC (Episodes From Liberty City). This downpatch made in ISXPM in conjunction with official Rockstar EFLC Patch 2 or 3 (both included in the package) does just that.

Hey mate, the downgrader works great. My only problem is that it is stuck on TLAD. Is there any way to switch to TBOGT or is the downgrader designed to only run TLAD?

DeleteThis patch is the real thing - it gets you full EFLC game which is identical to game installed from EFLC retail DVDs and updated with official patch 2/3.
What you describe happens because XLivelessAddon.ini in plugins subfolder has SkipMenu=1 and it loads latest savegame on startup (which in your case happened to be a TLAD one). Use Game \ New menu to start new TBoGT game or set SkipMenu=0 in XLivelessAddon.ini
Thank you mate. This worked great! I do have one last question, is it possible to use the LCPDFR mod with this version? I have followed the instructions from LCPDFR.com for manual installation and the game will not run with LCPDFR installed. When I uninstall LCPDFR, and re-install the XLive.dll that the uninstaller removes) the game runs fine again. I know people say LCPDFR cannot run with pirated EFLC, but this is the real game.
ReplyDeleteYes, LCPDFR will work with game downgraded by this patch. Bear in mind that LCPDFR supports only GTA IV Patch 7/EFLC Patch 2.
DeleteAfter you Unpack LCPDFR zip archive into EFLC folder you should remove or move away following files:
- aCompleteEditionHook.asi (it is for 2020CE compatibility, not needed for older game versions)
- dsound.dll (it is an ASI loader, you already have Ultimate ASI Loader as xlive.dll)
If your EFLC is at patch 2 launch the game, press Alt-P when game loads, and you should see message and police stations marked on minimap.
If you are at EFLC patch 3 then LCPDFR won't work!
Even with updated scripthookdotnet by arinc9 AdvancedHook.dll bundled with LCPDFR won't load -
you will see "Failed to get game version!" in AdvancedHook.log
To roll back to EFLC patch 2 get EFLC_rollback_to_patch2.7z 6.5 Mb (it is in the gdrive folder where you got the patch) and
unpack it to game folder. It should work OK after this.

ReplyDeleteI wanted to downgrade my Fitgirl repacked 1.0.8.0 version back to 1.0.7.0, just one version back, because apparently it's better for modding and stuff... Do things like DxVk work better on 1.0.7.0, is that true at all? Or I really don't even need to downgrade back to 1.0.7.0 and 1.0.8.0 is enough? Help me brother, I'm struggling here. The original downgrader provided on the Fitgirl website is apparently corrupt or something because it's not working and is just deleting my game... Don't know what to do to downgrade it properly anymore...
Hello, Daniel! You should try and see for yourself, there's no definite answer that some version works better than other with DXVK. Also some mods like LCPDFR require 1.0.7.0, they have version-specific .asi or .dll that won't work on 1.0.8.0.

and move unpacked files over. IIRC Fitgirl 1.0.8.0 has newer 2016 Razor crack (launchgtaiv.exe+1911.dll) which should work OK with 1.0.7.0

Delete-availablevidmem on 1.0.8.0 and 2020CE uses VRAM size in megabytes whereas 1.0.7.0 and earlier use multiplier e.g. you'll need to experiment on your specofic GPU/OS to find multiplier that works
Hello, it is great, but I got into trouble when I first launched LaunchEFLC.exe. It tells me that I need an activation code or something. How do I fix this? I've read the instructions, but nothing works, so I would like to need help.
ReplyDeleteHello, Don! LaunchEFLC.exe is a stock uncracked SecuROM launcher, it is included for completion. You would need a SecuROM keygen or registration server emulator to use it.
DeleteThe patch includes preinstalled XLivelessAddon so you should run EFLC.exe directly to launch the game.
Hello , First of all, I would like to thank you for this tool and I want to ask you about something , i had a problem with the tool ,when i start the game it shows a few second of intro and then i get the crash to desktop (the game log out to desktop) , however i have GTA 4 / Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition – v1.2.0.43 + Radio Downgrader + Vanilla Fixes Modpack v1.6.2 + Wrappers so what is the solution for it ? and I have been trying hard to install the LCPDFR mod, but there are always problems .So is there a clear way regarding the whole process
ReplyDeleteHello, I tested this on exactly this Fitgirl repack. Patch should work OK if you install clean Complete Edition 1.2.0.43 game without Vanilla Fixes.
DeleteSecond, you don't need EFLC to run LCPDFR, it also works on GTA IV 1.0.7.0.
